Maybe a different sort of seed was planted at the Annunciation? Respect for the Virgin Birth, the First Flower, and Plant Hybrids of all types. The gold accents make it truly beatific.
It's a sturdy installation piece, all wood and spray paint. The wood panels (all one foot by one foot) are sanded and stained, and hung together with small brass eye hooks and cup hooks. The stencils are hand-cut, and the spray paint is permanent and coated with a fixative. The entire piece is three feet tall and three feet wide.
As I make every aspect of these by hand (well, the nice guys at Home Depot help me cut the wood), yours may vary from the specimen shown. Spray paint can be slightly unpredictable, but that's why we like it.
